Welcome to Bronnum Lutheran Seminary, Yola At Bronnum Lutheran Seminary (BLS), we are committed to theological excellence, community service, and holistic education. Located in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria, we are the largest English-speaking seminary in the West African sub-region, serving students from diverse backgrounds, including international students from Cameroon and Sierra Leone.

Who We Are
Bronnum Lutheran Seminary is an emerging center for sound theological training with administrative autonomy and academic freedom. Established in 1985, our institution has a rich history of empowering men and women for ministry, education, and leadership roles in the church and society. Our affiliation with prestigious institutions like Ahmadu Bello University (Zaria) and the University of Jos ensures the highest standards in academic and professional training.
Historical Milestones
- 1951: Began as Hausa Bible School in Numan.
- 1974: Transitioned into an English-speaking Bible College.
- 1985: Upgraded to a seminary offering Diplomas in Christian Ministry.
- 1990: Relocated to Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
- 2007: Introduced Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Theology.
- 2020: Launched Master’s Degree Programs.
To date, over 1,100 graduates have been equipped to serve in ministry and education globally.
Our Programs
We offer a variety of accredited programs to meet diverse theological and educational needs:
• Master of Theology (MTh): Advanced training in theological research and specialization.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (PGDT): Foundation for theological education.
• Bachelor of Theology (BA CRS): Comprehensive undergraduate training.
• Diplomas in Christian Ministry and Education: Foundational courses for aspiring ministers and educators.

Faculty and Research
With a robust team of 25 qualified faculty members, including PhDs and adjunct lecturers, our seminary is a hub for impactful research and academic excellence. Current research initiatives focus on peace, harmony, and community development.
