About Us
The Seminary is 34 years old. It is affiliated to two reputable Universities; Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria for Diploma and the University of Jos for the Degree programmes respectively. We wish to commend the Adamawa State Government, particularly the Ministry of Education for the recommendation it gave for the affiliation our degree programmes to the University of Jos. The institution first started as a Bible School in 1951. It was upgraded into a Bible College in 1974 and awarded Grade III certificates. In 1985 it became a Seminary that awards Diploma in Christian education and ministry. The Seminary was moved from Dashen in Jada Local Government to Yola in 1990.

At 35 years in 2020, it is ripe to the stock of and enumerate its blessings and embark on rigorous self-examination for improvement. Permit me to appreciate and pay tribute to the founding Fathers, late Bishop Akila Todi. In particular, Rev. Dr. Harvey Nelson donated all his books to the Seminary’s library to jump-start the programme with ease in 1985. The first principal was late Bishop Phanuel Borkono Agongtara, and the second principal was Bishop William Lautai to mention but a few. Today 90% of LCCN pastors are the product of this great institution, Bronnum Lutheran Seminary.
